We are looking for someone to take over the chairperson
responsibilities for the Back to School supply kits.
Responsibilities include: communication with our vendor and
advertising/distributing ordering information to Riverfield families.
This work is usually done in the springtime leading up to summer.
It is an easy, "organize from home" chairperson role
with minimal time commitment and makes getting those
back to school supplies and easy check-the-box
off To Do list for our Riverfield Families.
If interested, please reach out to Kerin Gleason
or Laura Carroll, or volunteer Coordinators
Our librarian, Mrs. DeFrancesco, is looking for more
parent volunteers in the library.
Shifts are from 9:00-11:00 am on A,B, and D days
and responsibilities include shelving books
and other small projects around the library.
She could also use a few extra volunteers
to help paint the library.

Did you know that you can earn money
for Riverfield by checking for items you purchase
that participate in Box Tops for education.
For over 25 years, Box Tops for Education
has given families an easy way to earn cash for schools —
with products they already buy!
Today, you can find hundreds of participating products
throughout the store.
Scan your receipt with the Box Tops app and you’ll earn
for your school with every Box Tops product you buy.
Here is how you can help Riverfield!
First, download the app.
Next, buy box top products.
Then, scan you receipt.
You have 14 days to submit your receipt on the Box Tops app.
If you buy in store, a quick scan with the Box Tops app
will identify participating products and automatically credit
your school earnings online. If you order online,
you can submit a digital receipt too!
Finally, earn cash for Riverfield!
(Earnings are delivered via checks to school
twice a year in December and April)
Thanks for helping to support Riverfield!!
RECYCLE YOUR PLASTIC BAGS
We are collecting plastic film to be recycled
and made into Trex outdoor furniture.
Please bring or send in your CLEAN
plastic bags and plastic film
throughout the school year
A quick test to know the difference between recyclable
and non recyclable plastic:
stick your thumb through the plastic.
If it stretches, recycle it (zip locks and amazon packing)!
If it doesn’t stretch, it’s trash (grape bags, TJs frozen food).
Students can bring it down to the collection box by the front office
or you can bring it in and we’ll get it to the box.
The school which collects the most in our region receives
an outdoor bench, but we are really hoping to beat out our friends
at Mill Hill, Dwight, and other Fairfield elementary schools!
Reach out to Emma Kaye, emmajwebber@gmail.com
with any questions

- Items not good enough to donate, may still be dropped in the bin for recycling (think: stained clothes, worn out shoes, ripped linens & towels, even stuffed animals!)
