ANNUAL VETERANS DAY CEREMONY
Our annual Veterans Day ceremony will be held on Friday, November 8 at 9:30 AM.
You can support our efforts to honor our veterans in the following ways:
- Invite your family members and friends who are veterans to attend our ceremony and be honored in person.

- Please note: due to space limitations, only veterans and their guests may attend the ceremony
- All visiting veterans are asked to RSVP by Monday, November 4, 2024 at this link: 2024 RFLD Veterans Day Ceremony RSVP.
- This year we are inviting veterans to return to their students’ classrooms immediately after the ceremony for a brief visit (approximately 15 minutes). Veterans may choose to read a book, share his/her experiences, and/or answer students’ questions. We ask that all conversations remain developmentally appropriate for our students.
- There is a place to indicate veterans’ participation in classroom visits on the RSVP form. (The classroom visits are not expected or required of veteran guests.)
- Submit a picture of your veteran to be included in our slideshow.

- Deadline to submit form: Wednesday, October 30, 2024
- Make a poster for our “Riverfield Wall of Honor”
- Print out the sheet at this link: Riverfield Salutes This American Hero!
- Attach a picture of your veteran and write what makes him/her special.
- Send in your poster by Friday, November 1 to be included on our Wall of Honor
- Wear red, white, and blue or anything patriotic to school on Friday, November 8. All Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts are invited to wear their uniforms to school.
