🎉 Riverfield's 15th Annual Walkathon Is Here! 🎉

The Walkathon is the PTA's largest fundraiser of the year, making up more than a third of our annual budget. Students will celebrate with a fun run/walk on Friday, Nov. 6, and donations are open through December.

💙 Walkathon funds support this year's students, teachers, and staff: enrichment programs like author visits and hands-on science experiences, art and cultural programs, classroom supplies and teacher appreciation, field trip subsidies, and community events from the Back-to-School Bash to Field Day. 👟 How to participate

NEW this year: Students can create a simple, personalized fundraising page and share it with family, friends, and neighbors who want to cheer on Riverfield! Each student's suggested goal is $100 in total donations. It's a target, not a requirement, and every amount helps!

There are two ways to support our school. Pick whichever works best for your family!

📣 Personalize your student's fundraising page. Log in to the PTA website, add a photo and a short message, then share the link. Donors don't need to log in to give. Need inspiration? Check out Rocky Roadrunner's page, view our tips and tricks, or go straight to creating your own.

🏫 Prefer to give directly? Log in and give right on your student's page (even if it's not personalized) so the student gets credit, or use their grade-level page so the grade gets credit. Or, simply send in a check payable to Riverfield School PTA (student name in memo).

🏆 Rewards

Our school-wide goal this year is $25,000, and students can earn rewards along the way.

🎟️ Individual: Any donation to your child's page by Friday, Oct. 23, enters them in a prize raffle.

🏫 Grade level: Grades that reach their grade level goal will win extra recess with music.

🎉 School-wide: The entire school will celebrate together as we reach milestones toward our goal.

• 50% of goal: Hat Day
• 75% of goal: Wacky Wednesday
• 100% of goal: Pajama & Movie Day
• 120% of goal: A mystery teacher gets slimed at the next All-School Meeting!

FAQ

Have more than one child? This year's goal is $100 per student, but please don't feel you need to reach this on your own. Inviting relatives and friends to chip in is exactly what the pages are for. This is a target, not a requirement and every amount helps. 

Parent of a 5th grader? Funds raised this year support this year's budget–so every current student, teacher, and staff member benefits, including our 5th graders. Let's make the 5th graders' final year at Riverfield the best yet!

What does the Walkathon fund?

• Enrichment: author visits, educational programs (last year's Whale Mobile, this year's SkyDome Planetarium), cultural experiences, art programs, library enrichment
• Teachers and staff: classroom expense reimbursements, conference snacks, Staff Appreciation Week, books for educators and the library
• School resources: field trip subsidies; PE, music, and playground equipment; classroom and office supplies; digital resources; school beautification
• Community events: Back-to-School Bash, Book Fair, Veterans Day, MLK Day of Service, School Dance, Bingo Night, Ice Cream Social, Spring Festival, Field Day, and more
